Israeli army raids a house and assaults its residents

A military force of the Israeli army raided the house of Suad Abu Ghalieh located in Al-Nawafleh quarter in Abu Deis suspecting that it contained weapons. The raiding military force, which consisted of 12 military vehicles, was accompanied by undercover forces, the military leader of the district, intelligence men, police dogs, mines search devices, wireless communication cars and around 75 soldiers. The force thoroughly searched the house and its surroundings and assaulted its residents with clubs after blindfolding them. The same force arrested Saud’s 25-year-old son Mohammad, and took him to an unknown place, according to his sister, who was also beaten and detained by the force. After finishing the search, which caused panic and fear, the military force withdrew. A number of local residents reported that the raid occurred at the highest security level at midday. No weapons were found; the raid was intended solely to threaten the security and safety of local villagers.
