OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- A statistics report issued by Palestine’s supreme national committee to support prisoners said Israeli occupation forces have ramped up in this last month of September arrest campaigns against Palestinians, confirming 485 arrests, mostly in occupied Jerusalem.

The report issued on Sunday said the Israeli army last month arrested 485 Palestinians, including three women and around 90 minors.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested for ten days against a military decision to separate him from his home for five months.

Foreign activists were also documented to have been arrested in Palestine. An activist from the U.S. and another from England were detained while marching to protest the separation wall and seizure of Palestinian land in Bil’in.

The prisoner committee’s media manager Riyadh Ashqar said the Israeli prisons authority continued to violate human rights codes last month by failing to provide necessary treatment for hundreds of cases of diseases that have spread among Palestinian prisoners.

Ashqar noted that the list of “prisoners deans”, who have spent more than twenty years in Israeli jails, has risen in September to 123.

23 prisoners have spent more than a quarter of a century there.
