TULKAREM, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation authorities have deported freed captive Baker al-Hafi from the northern West Bank city of Tulakarem to the Gaza Strip after spending one month in captivity, while nine other captives still refuse to be deported. The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said in a statement on Thursday that the occupation authorities deported al-Hafi after arresting him from his home in the Shweikeh neighbourhood of Tulakarem and transferred him to the Maskoubeyyah interrogation centre where he spent about a month on the pretext that he did not go through official procedure to change his residence from Gaza to the West Bank. Al-Hafi, who is originally from Gaza, is married to a Palestinian woman from the West Bank. They have two children and they own a house and a farm in the West Bank. He has been living in the West Bank for more than ten years. The PPS added that there are nine more captives who still refuse to be deported. |
