Comrade Ibrahim Salem, from the Ein Beit Ilma refugee camp west of Nablus, was sentenced to 26 years in Israeli prisons by the occupation military courts on December 5, 2010.

He was accused of being a member of the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the PFLP, and has been "wanted" by the occupation since the Second Intifada. Attorney Mahmoud Hassan of Addameer foundation for Human Rights denounced the sentence and the ongoing illegal occupation capture of Palestinian political prisoners for struggling for the independence of their homeland.

He said that this was part of a war on Palestinian prisoners, as did Myassar Atiani, a longtime prisoner advocate who herself has been subject to administrative detention by the occupation.
