RAMALLAH, BETHLEHEM, (PIC)-- IOF troops abducted a total of 15 Palestinians, including a woman, since Thursday morning from various parts of the West Bank, according to local sources and Israeli radio. Local sources said that IOF troops on Friday morning raided localities in the areas of Nablus, Ramallah and Qaqilya and abducted seven Palestinian residents, three of them from the village of Madama to the south of Nablus. Meanwhile, Israeli radio reported that 7 "wanted" Palestinians were arrested on Thursday morning by IOF troops from the districts of Ramallah, al-Khalil and Bethlehem, and that those arrested were taken to interrogation centres, claiming that weapons and ammunition were found in one of the houses. Furthermore, local sources said that IOF troops manning the Contir roadblock abducted a Palestinian woman on Thursday. No reasons were given by the IOF for the abduction of 24-year-old Ayeshah Abeyyat from Bethlehem, who is believed to have been taken to an interrogation centre. Arrests of Palestinians suspected of opposing the occupation are usually carried out in coordination with Abbas's militia who are playing a role complementary to that of the occupation troops. |
