Three detainees wounded in the Negev detention camp

Palestinian sources reported on Tuesday morning that three Palestinian detainees were wounded om Monday at night ehrn fire that broke out in section 5 at the Israeli Negev detention facility.

Ala’ Sammar, representative of Fateh detainees at the facility said in a phone interview with the Palestinian News and Information Center (WAFA) that the fire was caused by an electric circuit in some tents causing fires to spread in the tents.

Several detainees were wounded and were moved to an Israeli military hospital.

Sammar held the Israeli authorities responsible for endangering the lives of the detainees, and added that the Israeli violations, repeated attacks against the detainees, tortutre, and medical negligence policies have claimed the lives of hundreds of detainees since 1967.

Naqab / PNN – At dawn today three Palestinians were injured in such a way that the Israeli prison administration alerted its own media.

The Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot and Israeli Channel Two both reported that three Palestinian political prisoners were injured Tuesday morning in Al Naqab Desert Prison. The situation was reported upon it seems because it involves a fire where an Israeli jailer was also injured.

The details involve a fire in the tents that serve as cells in the outdoor prison of the Naqab (Negev) Desert.

Some 11,000 Palestinians are being held by the Israeli administration. Among the imprisoned are children, women, the elderly and the ill.
