Fatah leader in Beita village sentenced to 19 years in Israeli prison

Nablus – Ma’an – Israel’s military court at Salem sentenced 35-year-old Abd Ar-Rahim Barham to 19 years in prison.

Barham, from Beita village south Nablus, is a Fatah leader in the area.

His family would not comment on the nature of the charges against him, but noted that he was “essentially being imprisoned for being a member of Fatah.”

Barham was detained when Israeli troops raided his house in the 2006, he has been held in administrative detention for 32 months.
