IOF detains 16 Palestinians in West Bank


Ramallah, May 7, 2009 (Ramattan) – The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) detains on Thursday morning sixteen Palestinian citizens in different cities across the West Bank, Palestinian security sources said.

The sources said the IOF trust different cities in the West Bank amid intensive fire and stormed several houses, arresting 16 Palestinians without indications the arrest reasons.

Yesterday, at least 11 Palestinian citizens were arrested as the IOF broke into the cities of Nablus, Hebron, Jenin and Bethlehem, according to local Palestinian sources.

The IOF frequently launches search and arrest campaigns against the Palestinian citizens across the West Bank.

There are more than 10.000 Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails, including children, women, patients and lawmakers.
