IOF detains 3 Palestinians in Bethlehem


Ramallah, May 3, 2009 (Ramattan) – The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) detained on Sunday morning three Palestinian citizens in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, Palestinian security sources said.

The sources reported that the IOF broke into Bethlehem city, reinforced with several armored vehicles and stormed several houses, arresting three Palestinians.


Israeli sources claimed that all the detainees were "wanted" and were transferred for questioning by the Israeli security forces.

The IOF frequently launches search and arrest campaigns against the Palestinian citizens in all over the West Bank.

During the last two days, more than 15 Palestinian citizens were detained in different cities across the West Bank.



Israeli forces apprehend two Palestinians near Bethlehem

Bethlehem – Ma’an – Israeli forces on Sunday morning apprehended two young Palestinians from the Bethlehem district.

Local sources said an Israeli force raided the city of Beit Sahour, east of Bethlehem, and detained 29-year-old Nidal Bannoura after ransacking his home.

Separately, another Israeli force stormed the village of Battir, west of Bethlehem, and seized 20-year-old As’ad Ash-Sheikh.

Both detainees were taken to an unknown location.
