Israeli forces seize 11 Palestinians overnight

Bethlehem – Ma’an – The Israeli military said it detained 11 Palestinians during overnight raids in the West Bank early on Monday.

According to the military, Palestinians were seized from their homes near near Bethlehem, Ramallah and Hebron, and were “taken for questioning” at unknown locations. All the arrestees were “wanted” by the Israeli forces.

The Israeli military kidnapped 11 Palestinian civilians on Monday during pre dawn invasions targeting a number of West Bank communities.

Local sources said that the kidnappings took place in Ramallah, Bethlehem and Hebron.

Meanwhile the public relations office of the Palestine Liberation Organization issued a report on Monday documenting the Israeli attacks against Palestinians during the month of May 2009.

The report shows that Israeli military attacks on Palestinians in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip have left six people killed and 145 including 13 children injured.

In addition during the month of May, Israeli troops have kidnapped 420 people during invasions targeting West Bank communities, the report stated.

Moreover the report show that the settlers have took over 105 acres of Palestinian owned land.

Meanwhile the total number of people who have died, after the Israeli army refused to allow them to leave Gaza to receive medical care, has reached 337, the report included. Israel started its siege on the Gaza Strip in June 2007.
